Baldivis is known to be a family friendly area… but more than that, it’s also very doggo friendly! With so many ‘furry-best-friends’ in our community it’s no surprise there are plenty of fun and social things we can do with our dogs.
It was hard, but we’ve narrowed it down to our five favourite spots you can take your four-legged friend in and around Brightwood Baldivis.
1. Brother of Mine
Any furry, four-legged friend of yours - is a friend of the Brother of Mine cafe. They love to have you and your pup for a cappuccino (or perhaps a cheeky puppaccino) in their alfresco area. Dogs are so loved at the café that any pup-visitor may become a furry influencer and make it onto their popular Instagram, @brotherofminecoffee.
Brother of Mine is open every day for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Stop in for a cup of freshly roasted coffee and a morning shakshouka or save your appetite for one of their mouth-watering burgers for lunch.

2. Baldivis Enclosed Dog Park
Let your best mate run free at the specially made Baldivis enclosed dog park. It’s designed for plenty of off-lead freedom for dogs, and some much-needed socialisation time for their humans! Just choose which section your pup belongs (‘small dogs’ or ‘all dogs’), take off their lead and let them GO!
The park is a short four-minute drive (or a nice 30-minute walk) from Brightwood, situated between Baldivis Road and Acrasia Road.

3. Secret Harbour Dog Beach
Brightwood Baldivis is only a hop, skip, and a 15-minute drive from the beach. The best part? The beach is dog-friendly too!
Jump in the car and head to Secret Harbour Dog Beach for a day of fun in the surf and sun with your little furry friend. The beach is off-lead, so they can frolic in the water and run along the beach free and easy.
4. Catalano & Co
There’s no need to leave your four-legged friend at home when you duck out for a leisurely brunch, lunch, or dinner at Catalano and Co in Baldivis. They love when you bring to your best friend to join you tableside as you enjoy one of their famous pulled pork breakfast bene burgers, or their popular spaghetti marinara. While your pup might not be allowed their own bene burger or marinara, plenty of pats and cuddles from fellow patrons and staff are guaranteed!

5. Baldivis Nature Reserve Trail
Take yourself and your pup on a short walk along the Baldivis Nature Reserve Trail, located just behind Baldivis Oval. The 2km trail leads you through natural bushland full of Jarrah, Sheoak and Banksia trees, and it will take a leisurely 15 minutes from one end to the other – provided there are no sniff stops. Depending on the season, you might even spot some beautiful wild flowers too.
Have we missed one of your favourite spots? Let us know, and we’ll add it to the list!
