With Halloween quickly approaching, it's time to collect your fearsome family, and friends to create some fun activities and costumes to celebrate the spookiest night of the year. Fear not, however. We’ve put together a list of DIY handicrafts for you to try out in October.
HAUNTED HOUSE
Kids will enjoy adding everything and everything to this project as they imagine their own version of a wearable Hansel & Gretel’s terrifying gingerbread home. We suggest customising your haunted house with additional pumpkins, ghosts or spiders.
You Will Need:
- Cardboard boxes
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Paintbrushes
- Black paint and white paint
- Scissors
- Rope
Follow the instructions here.
OCTOPUS
In a few simple steps and items that you probably already own, you can transform simple materials into an octopus costume.
You Will Need:
- 3 long socks
- Stuffing
- Sewing needle, safety pins and thread
- Hot glue gun and glue sticks
- Purple or black sweatpants
Check out how to make it here.
PETER PAN’S SHADOW
This nostalgic costume is a twist on the original Peter Pan costume and will impress your friends and family. The costume can also be paired with Peter Pan’s costume to show both characters.
