The warm weather’s finally here, so it’s time to shake off winter and make the most of the glorious sunshine. Located in the City of Rockingham, Brightwood’s surrounded by some of the most vibrant parts of Perth and WA. To help you plan and make the most of your Spring days we’ve put together a list of our favourite day spots around Brightwood.
Serpentine Falls
Located within the beautiful Serpentine National Park, the falls are the perfect place to enjoy a picnic, swim, take a walk on one of the trails or enjoy the local wildlife. Only 22 minutes down the road from home, this is a must-do day trip.

Baldivis Karnup Wine Trail
Just 11-minutes down the road you’ll find the Baldivis Karnup Wine Trail. It’s one of Western Australia’s most promising wine regions, located in the Tuart soils of the Rockingham hinterland. The five wineries on this wine trail are all close by so why not hire a bus and safely enjoy a pleasant day’s tasting with family and friends.
Fremantle
Known as “Freo” to the locals, this vibrant waterfront city has great beers, alfresco food and an intriguing history. We recommend stopping by the Fremantle Markets, for fresh produce, local wares and artisan made goods. Make your next destination Fremantle Prison or the Fremantle Arts Centre for some culture and history before resting your weary feet at Bather’s Beach House or one of the many delicious pubs and restaurants.
